Time Management?

In the last 3-4 days I kept hearing people complaining about not having enough time. Not enough time for themselves, for their goals or for their families.

In the beginning, I said that’s just an excuse for not facing your fears or lack of commitment. Then, I started observing everything around me and my life.

The best example that I have right now is my situation. I was looking to adopt/buy a dog for a long time. Every time I was calling a shelter I was the second or third caller and I never got the dog I wanted.

Two weeks ago I saw an add on Craigslist and called the owner. I had to drive in the middle of the night and through a terrible storm about two hours and got the puppy.

Let me tell you that everybody around me was against getting the dog. My parents told me I have to have a baby not a dog. My friends reminded me I am all the time on the road and busy working. Nothing worked. I knew what I wanted and…I’m the go-getter!

How my life changed in the last two weeks? Do I still find the time for everything? YES!

I found out (like I was suspecting) it’s just a matter of planning. You have to work on adjusting your life style to the dog and the dog character to your life style.

No matter what changes in your life, you can still find enough time for yourself. It might take you a week or two to readjust everything. Try different schedules and see what’s working or not. See what’s taking too much of your time and it’s not really important. Look for things that you start doing when you’re trying to delay something else.

Let’s say you just changed jobs and now you have to assimilate a lot of new information in a very short time. You’re feeling overwhelmed or scared about not having the time to make a good impression. You have a deadline or a probation period. Your worries have the first impact on your productivity. Instead of staying focused on getting the new information, you’ll get distracted by these worries.

Every time you’ll find yourself deep into worries or too many thoughts look for the real cause. Your new job seems to be the real issue. But, there’s always something that’s triggering your worries. It could be a past job that caused you troubles. It could be a certain negative belief that you have towards being an employee.

For every change or challenge there’s an answer!

If you’re still overwhelmed and you’d like some help look for our next series from “I am in charge!”

Here’s a testimonial from Linda who participated in our last program:

“We had done so many corrections for work issues, and many things that affect my reactions/emotions at work. On Thursday, I went to work very relaxed, instead of my usual tenseness that expects a chaotic day! It was very busy. All day my thinking was very clear. Instead of seeing my own stress, I could see the bigger picture of just how stressed everyone else in the company is. I work for a growing company-everyone is working beyond their limits right now. I was the calmest, most centered person in the company! That’s a big shift!

I am much more able to see my own skills, both at work & in my business. I am more able to stand up for myself with commitment when needed. I am content working as part of the team, but also realize I am separate from the team, and I will be just fine if I leave my job.

In general, I feel much better. My thinking is clearer, helping me to make better decisions, better able to envision the future I want to create.
I am amazed at how quick & effective your corrections are! Your commitment to be of service and to relieve the limitations of those you work on is evident by your business practices.”

Looking forward to helping you next!
